Contemplating: Apartment Living

“Document the one object in your home that represents your life.” This was an item, supposedly, from one of the at-home tests administered by the Cooper Union for admission, found in a book about New York apartment living called Five Flights Up. And this is from Hilary Robertson, author of The Stuff of Life: “Contrast is a foolproof way to make an interior statement. If you don't have all-white vessels and a black wall at home, try all red things in front of a white wall.”
