Houston Street and Sullivan Street


Flaming turban shell at Ushiwakamaru, a restaurant that Chef Marc Forgione says is his “favorite for sushi.” So I went. (No disappointments.)

  3. The turban shell is some sort of whelk-like animal, I think, and the flame cooked the meat in the shell.

    And Paula: good to hear from you! Hope we manage to get together soon!
