.) Bonus: you can taste them all before you buy. My favorites were the smoked varieties (cherry blossom from Japan and guava smoked from Hawaii).
This is the reason why I love living in NYC so much... only here can one find an entire store (often many clustered in a 'district') devoted to the most seemingly common of items; like salt, or buttons, or ribbons, or rocks, or socks, or fossils... As much as it is overwhelming to the visitor here in the city, I get a cultural shock when I travel and can't find a store entirely devoted to olive oil, for instance...
