Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street

Black figures among white statues at the Metropolitan Museum (in a scene that reminded me of Louise Lawler’s pictures of people looking at pictures).

  1. This image seems a bit haunting to me, as if to mean that the statues are everlasting and that the people are only fleeting images (for the moment). At least that's what I feel whenever I'm in this sculpture gallery.... A bit philosophical for a Monday? Probably jet lag... glad to be back.
