Frankly, I never think the rice pudding looks that exciting at Rice to Riches, but then I taste it and change my mind. (What did it for me last time was the tiramisu with a topping of espresso crumble.) Plus, they have Space Age plastic bowls and cheeky sayings displayed on the walls, and in the end, it’s a fun place to stop and refuel.
'Cheeky'? You can bring the expat back home....but I guess some things are bound to stick!
ReplyDeleteOh no, is that too British to say here? I also find myself saying the phrase "sort it out" a lot (instead of "figure it out" or "take care of it").
ReplyDeleteI've never heard an American (born and bred) use this term unless they've spent time overseas... as long as you don't refer to us as 'colonists', I guess you're okay.
