Park Avenue and 63rd Street

Does the purple light mean party night at the Christian Science church? I don't know, but the glow behind the wreath is lovely.

59th Street and Seventh Avenue

Carriage horse outside of Central Park. Miserable or happy? (At least he’s managed to snag five weeks of vacation time.)

Sixth Avenue and 37th Street

Pile of discounted beads at Bead City. One thing I’ve found at this new store that I haven’t seen elsewhere is beautifully colored thin, thin cord for stringing pendants and such. (The silk cord is 50 cents a yard, but I like the slightly thicker, lovelier polyester cord better, for a dollar.)

Grand Central Station

In the middle of the city but thinking of somewhere else—at Penzeys Spices in Grand Central. (That is, I’m going on vacation. Back on Tuesday.)

42nd Street and Eighth Avenue

Composition with pink hair (in the subway station).
